New Treatment for Noise Aversion

We are getting to that time of year again where our pet’s fear and anxiety can start to present a real problem. Commonly known as “noise aversion,” this can present itself in many different ways. Anything from trembling and shaking, to chewing and destroying parts of your home. Triggers for noise aversion can be caused by things like construction work, vehicle traffic, thunder, and fireworks. The latest treatment for noise aversion is a drug called Sileo. Sileo is a medication that is administered orally and is absorbed through the gums. When given, Sileo can help curb signs of noise aversion in our pets, and make the time spent a much more pleasant experience. If you are interested we now carry Sileo at Arizona Animal Hospital, feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. Click here to learn more.
